Flying Higher...Going the Distance

The Simulator

Currently under construction, the Learjet 45 Flight Simulator used for the Trinity Simviation Events is going to be a full size, full scale simulator that allows for a 2-Person crew to fly the aircraft anywhere in the virtual world from New York to L.A., from London to Sydney, and yes, from Waycross to anywhere else! There will be an instructor's station behind the pilots to setup and control aspects of the simulation.

The simulator, while not completed at this time, is currently capable of allowing two people to fly it anywhere using real-world procedures. We even have the real Bombardier Learjet manuals for it, not to mention access to all of the instrument procedures used througout the U.S.

Several airports in the simulator software are modeled very accurately to appear like their real-world counterparts and we can fly Day or Night in any kind of weather that is experienced in the real world. In fact, we can import the real world weather via an internet connection that updates the weather in the simulator every few minutes. In the future we will have the ability to interact with other virtual pilots and virtual Air Traffic Controllers via the internet for special occasions. Of course, we always have global Air Traffic Control available to us to use that is embedded in the sotware.

Right now major construction is finished and soon we will have a dedicated building for it renovated which will eventually allow for the installation of a 180 degree wrap-around visual system.

If you've ever wanted to know what it was like to climb aboard a corporate jet and become part of the action involving the flight planning, taxi, takeoff, cruise, approach, and landing with all the sights and sounds of flight, then our Learjet 45 simulator will give you a taste of what it's like, all without leaving the ground.

You get a basic idea of how our simulator will eventually be setup below.
