Flying Higher...Going the Distance

Frequently Asked Questions

Q)    What is Trinity Simviation?

A)    Trinity Simviation is an small group of friends who's goals are to learn about Flight Simulation and Aviation while fostering a Christ-like atmosphere and helping to meet the needs of others through the donation of funds and goods in exchange for virtual tickets to destinations around the world. At this time, we hope to hold events 2-4 times per year.

Q)    How does this work?

A)    It's very simple- People who are interested in aviation and flying and/or flight simulation learn how to fly and operate the Learjet 45 Flight Simulator in the most realistic way possible using real-world procedures and then 'flies' from one destination to another. After becoming thoroughly familiar with operating the simulator and the goals of Trinity Simviation, the crew members seek donations from family and friends for the donation of funds or goods in exchange for virtual tickets on the Learjet 45 simulator. Then, once the pre-planned date of the flight(s) arrives, the crew gathers together at the location of the simulator and conducts the flight just like a real-world crew flying the same aircraft would do. The funds and goods collected in exchange for the virtual tickets and crew passes are then handed over to the ministry previously selected to help those in need.

Q)    What is the purpose of the Virtual Ticket?

A)    The Virtual Ticket really only serves as a reciept of the donor's contribution and gives the donor access to visit the simulator during the event so that they can see how much fun it is to help others!

Q)    What kind of financial accountability does Trinity Simviation have for it's charity collections?

A)    Trinity Simviation has all Charity Event donations given directly to Second Baptist Church, Waycross, for Financial Accountability unless the sponsored charity requires direct donation to them for legal reasons.

Q)    What is Trinity Simviation NOT about?

A)    Trinity Simviation is not about a "religious" organisation, or a group of people who preach down to those who have different beliefs. Trinity Simviation is not a group to make proffit off of people using the simulator, as it's Not For Hire. We use "TRINITY SIMVIATION" simply as a name for our efforts to teach and minister to others while using the simulator for the flight events.

Q)    What does 'simviation' mean?

A)    Simviation is the marriage of the words Simulation and Aviation

Q)    What are your spirtual beliefs?

A)    I believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God, the only true God, who created the Heavens and the Earth. I believe that Jesus Christ came to Earth to pay the price of death for the sin of mankind, and that every man, woman and child who believes as Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour will be saved from judgement. I believe that we should strive to lead the best lives that we can as humans, knowing that we must trust in Jesus' grace instead of our own works to gain favor with God.

Q)    How do I get involved with the flying?

A)    You simply contact me at the email address listed on the Contact Page and tell me you would like to be a part of the crew, a little about yourself, and your level of knowledge of aviation, and your age. We do require a high level of maturity to participate as a Crew Member and typically will only choose those that are 18 or older, or those who have a driver's license. Although some exceptions may be made, this is needed to insure that those flying the simulator are responsible in their actions and attitudes.

Q)    How big or complete is the Learjet 45 simulator?  The simulator will be full-sized once the shell is completed. At this time the simulator has been configured to be flown by two crew members just like in real life and is 1:1 scale. The base is 6' Wide and 8' Long, has two crew seats, and a full-size instrument panel with all necessary controls available to fly the sim just like the real aircraft. In the future additional items will be added to the sim to increase the realism level even further.
